(ReliableNews.org) – The crisis at the nation’s southern border at Del Rio, Texas, continues escalating as thousands of migrants, mainly Haitians, try to gain entry into the United States. The Biden administration is responding by sending most of them back to Haiti with only a few exceptions for children and others. Unfortunately, a tragic and chaotic scene recently occurred during one of those flights.
On Tuesday, September 21, a group of Haitian migrants attempted to launch an attack on the pilots of one of those planes after it landed at Haiti’s international airport at the nation’s capital city of Port-au-Prince.
Haitians deported from the U.S. on Tuesday assaulted the pilots on board one of the flights when it arrived in Port-au-Prince and injured three U.S. immigration officers, according to a source familiar with internal reports of the incident. https://t.co/Qm0Fl3iXRK

The migrants, all men, also assaulted three agents from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. An unidentified source told news agencies the agents suffered injuries but were expected to recover.
A spokesperson from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security confirmed the incident, stating that the Haitian migrant launched two separate attacks on ICE officials onboard that flight as it taxied down the tarmac. However, Haitian officials swiftly took control of the situation. The spokesperson also renewed the commitment of ICE officials to respecting the rights of all migrants while continuing to enforce US border policies.
Hopefully, the Biden administration will work to resolve the mounting crisis along the entirety of the nation’s border with Mexico.
