Colin Kaepernick’s workout video got more than 3 million views resulting with an unexpected signing to an NFL team.
Except, it wasn’t Kaepernick who got signed, it was his receiver Jordan Veasy.
The former player threw long passes in hopes of obtaining a job as an NFL quarterback but none of the teams were that impressed.

Veasy confirmed he was signed to the practice squad with the Washington Redskins.
He said of the tryout,
“It helped. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to be a part of it. Just being a part of the history of it, and I knew it was going to help me.”
The NFL wasn’t too happy with Kaepernick as he changed plans hours before the planned workout event at the Atlanta Falcons’ training facility. He made some demands just before the try out and changed the event to be held at a local high school.
Many accused Kaepernick of wanting attention instead of actually trying out for a position on an NFL team.
Stephen A Smith of ESPN said,
“Three hours before the workout, Colin Kaepernick wants to change the venue. Colin Kaepernick wants his own receivers. Colin Kaepernick wants to video things himself.
Colin Kaepernick wants the media, this is the Colin Kaepernick — the media can’t find him! He does no interviews, he don’t talk to nobody, media can’t find him but he wants to do media! He wants the media available now.
“You see, you see, he don’t wanna play. He wants to be a martyr. But guess what, it ain’t workin’ this time.”
Here’s what Veasy had to say about the tryout with Kaepernick:
Congratulations to Jordan Veasy and best of luck!
Should Colin Kaepernick get a second chance to play in the NFL?
