(ReliableNews.org) – FiveThirtyEight has Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s national average at just over 10%. He could tip the scale in favor of either former President Donald Trump or incumbent President Joe Biden. That has angered the Republican’s campaign.
Trump is headed to the Libertarian Party’s national convention later this month to speak to voters about why they should choose him as president. That’s a slap in the face to Kennedy who has ties to the Libertarian Party even though he’s running as an independent. The former president has focused his ire on Kennedy in recent weeks, calling him a “spoiler” candidate, a Democratic plant, and telling people that they’d be wasting their vote if they cast it for him.
Kennedy has not helped matters. The Hill reported the independent candidate recently claimed that “red state people are more likely to murder you” than people in blue states. Some Conservatives called late President John F. Kennedy’s nephew’s comments “unhinged.”
A former Trump advisor pointed out that there are “lunatics” who won’t vote for Trump or Biden, and they now have a “third option.” However, he believes most of the numbers that Kennedy is pulling are coming from Biden’s coalition than from Trump’s. Still, that hasn’t stopped the right from waging war on him.
Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), the ex-White House physician, called Kennedy a “WOLF in Sheep’s Clothing!!” The congressman went on to say RFK Jr. hates the GOP movement and believes they are all “IGNORANT and VIOLENT.” Jackson warned people not to be fooled by the independent candidate and begged them to vote for Trump in the next election.
Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) declared Kennedy shouldn’t be allowed to ever sit in the Oval Office. The senator claimed Kennedy’s remarks about Republicans were “disqualifying.”
Trump has even told voters he would rather see Biden win the reelection than ever have Kennedy in the White House.
There are still more than six months before the election and things are just heating up.
