Biden Admin Orders Release of Single Adults at Top Immigration Sector

(ReliableNews.org) – On June 4, President Joe Biden issued an order to close the border on days when the average illegal crossings topped 2,500. At 12:01 a.m. the next day, the border shut down and the US stopped accepting asylum seekers who entered between official ports. A new report indicates there’s a massive loophole.

US Border Patrol agents in the San Diego, California sector were told to allow migrants from countries in the Eastern Hemisphere to enter the US. The journalist shared a screenshot of a directive she claimed was from the Biden administration telling agents to admit single adults from countries that are traditionally hard to return migrants to.

The report indicates there are six countries on the list of 100 nations in the Eastern Hemisphere where immigrants are not able to be sent back. Those countries include Russia, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Moldova.

Giaritelli said the instructions contradict what senior White House officials told reporters during a phone call on the day of the announcement about the border closure. The official reportedly claimed that the US was working with some of those countries to accept migrants back. The unnamed Biden staffer emphatically stated that immigrants who enter illegally from the Eastern Hemisphere “will be subject to these rules, provisions.”

The officials said the administration has sent deportation flights to China, India, Mauritania, Senegal, and other nations in the last several months. Those are all countries that have historically been difficult for the US to send migrants to. They went on to say they believe they will be able to “impose an immediate and fast consequence” on individuals who enter illegally from those nations.

Giaritelli’s reporting stated the consequences wouldn’t be fast at all. Instead, those migrants would be released into the US and told to report to a court date sometime in the future.
