Body of Robyn Bernard Found Lifeless in Open Field

(ReliableNews.org) – Actress Robyn Bernard starred in the soap opera “General Hospital” from 1984 to 1990. Sadly, she recently passed away. Friends say her life had spiraled out of control in recent years.

On March 12, deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a body in an open field behind a 7-Eleven gas station in San Jacinto, California. Officers arrived and found the ex-soap star dead. She was 64 years old.

Authorities aren’t sure how long she was in the field before someone found her. They have not released the woman’s cause of death. The Riverside County Coroner performed an autopsy, but the results could take weeks.

In 2015, Bernard was living in a trailer park for senior citizens when tragedy struck. Her trailer burned down, destroying all of her belongings, and killing seven of her eight cats. The surviving cat died four days later.

Two years after the fire, police arrested her for driving under the influence of drugs. She was arrested in April 2018 for being on drugs again. Then, in October of that year, authorities arrested her for being drunk in public. She was charged with the same crime two more times in the following years.

Friends of the actress spoke to DailyMail.com about her death. Norma Teyechea said that they used to be neighbors. She said that Bernard was allegedly addicted to drugs and alcohol. Teyechea told the website that she was “surprised” her friend “made it” as far as she had.

The friend said that Bernard used to talk about her time in Hollywood and said she’d been abused a lot. Teyechea theorized that all of the abuse had “destroyed her.”

Dan Berlin, one of Bernard’s former boyfriends, said that she’d been struggling with drugs and alcohol for “a long time.” He explained that although he had happy memories of the time they were together, she was also hard to be around.
