FBI Agents Storm Diddy’s Residences in LA and Miami

(ReliableNews.org) – Sean “Diddy” Combs, 54, is one of the most prolific music producers and artists in the rap industry. Over the last several years, multiple people have accused him of assault and abuse. Federal authorities recently raided two of his homes.

On March 25, federal agents with the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and local law enforcement officials raided Combs’ homes in Miami, Florida, and Los Angeles, California. The search warrant was reportedly part of an investigation by the Southern District of New York (SDNY) into the rap mogul. Video taken by reporters showed agents carrying out items from the homes into the evening hours.

Investigators didn’t provide any details about the searches. However, he has been accused in multiple civil lawsuits of trafficking and assault. In November, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, a popular R&B singer who dated him for years, sued him for allegedly forcing her to engage in sexual activity with other men while he watched. She also accused him of forcing her to take drugs and physical violence. The rapper settled with her just one day after she filed the lawsuit.

Most recently, music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones accused Combs in a lawsuit of forcing him to engage in acts with him and actor Cuba Gooding Jr. The producer claimed he had hours of recordings to support his allegations and also said Combs forced him to procure workers. Jones alleges the rapper drugged people who attended his parties, including underage girls.

It’s not clear if the raid had anything to do with the allegations against Combs. He has steadfastly denied assaulting anyone. NBC News reported his attorney, Aaron Dyer, issued a statement about the police raids, accusing federal agents of using an “excessive show of force and hostility.” The lawyer called the searches an “unprecedented ambush” that has led to a “premature rush to judgment” about the rapper. Dyer called it a “witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.”
